The Lamarque Story: A realization
The story of Lamarque begins when a new mother began to find that many (too many) of the products that she used every day to clean and moisturize her baby's skin were full of toxic and carcinogenic substances. This not only frightened her about what she was doing to her child, but also made her angry.
As she continued to research the products that she was using, she found that many made promises about natural ingredients and contained overused words hinting at safety (words like natural and hypoallergenic). She felt that our health was being unnecessarily sacrificed on the alter of the glamour and glitter of the cosmetic industry.
She began to wonder if it was necessary to gamble the health of her children, husband and loved ones just to take care of their skin.
She set out on a quest to see if it was possible to create truly safe cosmetics. To formulate these cosmetics from wholesome ingredients that were deemed safe for the skin and health. As an idealist, she thought - if we can put a man on the moon and return him safely to earth - certainly we could make cosmetics that were safe.
This caring mother, Nathalie Lamarque, brought together a team of scientists and other professionals and founded the startup that bears her name - Lamarque. This is how the story began; we continue to strive for the purest, safest, most wholesome cosmetics in the industry.
